In the first part of 2026 we will have 6 ‘mini-retreats’ on the 2nd Saturday of the month, from January – June 2026, at 1:30-4:30 pm on the following Saturdays:
- January 10
- February 14
- March 14
- April 11
- May 9
- June 13
For middle & high school youth they will be specifically aimed at creating and editing content for our new book project (writing, illustration, zines or other content) – learn about our past books. For elementary aged kids there will be a space to connect and build relationships (and possibly create things for the book, if there’s interest). Space will be limited and we will create a process to include returning folks and new people.
The June 13th mini-retreat will be expanded to accommodate out Annual General Meeting. You can participate online or in person (Tillicum Neighbourhood, Victoria).

**GGP Kids, Youth, Parents, Caregivers & Community Members Welcome**
We will be hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at an extended version of our June 13th mini-retreat! The event will run from 1:30 – 7:00 pm (you don’t have to stay for the whole thing) in the Tillicum Neighbourhood of Victoria. **People will be able to join the AGM portion online**
The younger kids (grades K-5) will have fun games & activities to do throughout the time together. The older youth (grades 6-12), parents/caregivers, mentors, volunteers, board members, & community stakeholders will be encouraged to attend the AGM + a film screening & discussion afterward with our friends from Out on Screens/Out in Schools, starting around 4pm.
Following that, we will have a BBQ & propane firepit with s’mores starting around 5:30pm for all who want to stay and socialize. We’re excited to see you there!
